  26/ Jordanian Justice Minister talks cooperation with Syrian counterpart

Amman, November 24 (Petra) – Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni met on Monday with Syrian Justice Minister Mazhar Wais to explore opportunities for enhancing judicial and legal cooperation.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Second International Judicial Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Talhouni affirmed Jordan's readiness to expand its partnership with the Syrian Ministry of Justice across various fields in a manner that contributes to Syria’s stability.

He discussed exchanging expertise in training, legislative development and the advancement of the rule of law.

He extended an official invitation to the Syrian minister to visit Jordan and discover the Kingdom's progress in digital transformation, including automation, remote trials and the use of digital signatures in judicial procedures.

Talhouni noted that such a visit would help lay the groundwork for broader cooperation that serves the interests of both countries.
