17/ JCI, Polish Chargé d'Affaires discuss increasing exports to Europe
Amman, Nov. 27 (Petra) – The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) on Thursday discussed with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Polish Embassy in Amman, Karol Le?niak, ways to strengthen bilateral economic and industrial cooperation and explore opportunities to expand the presence of Jordanian products in European markets. During the meeting held at the JCI's headquarters, the chamber's Director General, Dr. Hazem Rahahleh, called for increasing Jordanian exports to European Union countries, particularly in "highly competitive" sectors, mainly chemicals, food processing, fertilizers, and other industrial products. Rahahleh noted enhancing access to European markets is a "priority" for the Jordanian industrial sector at this stage. In turn, Le?niak expressed his country's "readiness" to develop economic cooperation with Jordan, affirming interest of Polish institutions in learning about Jordanian products and investment opportunities in the Jordanian market. The two sides also tackled ways to support Jordanian exports and overcome logistical and technical obstacles to their entry into the Polish market. Additionally, they agreed to prepare a joint action plan for the next phase, which aims to explore prospects for industrial cooperation and identify specific areas of common interest, with a focus on economic priorities that jointly generate added value. //Petra// AG
