  28/ Jordan's olive oil production down in 2025 season-DoS

Amman, Nov. 27 (Petra) –Department of Statistics (DoS) issued its second monthly report on the olive harvest this year launched to monitor Jordan's olive oil production in all olive oil extraction machines across the Kingdom, as part of the 2025 annual survey for this purpose.

The DoS data showed the quantity of olive oil produced up to November 25, 2025 reached 9,124 tons.

This quantity compares to the average production during the period from 2012-2025, which reached 14,845 tons during the same period of the season.

Therefore, the DoS revealed production in November 2025 constituted 61.5% of the monthly average, constituting 60.6% total from the beginning of the season until the end of November, and 42.3% of the overall seasonal average, indicating lower production, compared to previous seasons.

The results also indicate a decrease in the volume of olive quantities that enter the Kingdom's presses by the end of November standing at 53,500 tons, while the total olive production last year was approximately 221,000 tons, representing a 24% drop.

According to its report, the department monitors the olive oil quantities produced in the Kingdom's 152 olive presses until the end of the current season.

These figures emerge after an annual field survey is conducted by the department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, aimed at providing "accurate and comprehensive" data on olive oil production to inform citizens and farmers and assist in making "appropriate" agricultural decisions and policies.
