32/ Jordan’s SOS Children’s Villages launch campaign for children, youth without family support

Amman, Nov. 29 (Petra) – Jordan’s SOS Children’s Villages launched its campaign for World Children’s Day under the slogan "We Are Their Support," calling on society to provide children and youth without family support with safety and opportunities to build a better future.

The association said in a statement on Saturday that the campaign aims to encourage individuals and institutions to take simple actions with significant impact, noting that donations help provide comprehensive care for children and youth without family support in Jordan.

The campaign includes advertisements on social media platforms, billboards, digital street screens, screens in shopping malls, and information booths inside several malls to raise awareness and encourage donations across different segments of society. It also features an open broadcast day on the "Hayat FM" radio station on Sunday.

The association highlighted that it has strengthened its framework through a comprehensive system of approved legislation, including official religious rulings from the General Fatwa Department permitting the use of zakat, charity, fidyah, and sponsorship funds for children and youth without family support.

This recognition reflects the comprehensive care provided by the association, covering education, health, housing, protection, and psychosocial support. The fatwas give individuals a clear and reassuring religious framework, enabling them to give zakat and charity with confidence, directly benefiting children and youth in need of ongoing, stable care.

Donations or sponsorships can be made through several secure and accessible channels, including the website: https://sos-jordan.org/donate, e-Fawateercom, CLIQ service under the alias SOSJORDAN, and digital wallets with Zain Cash, Orange Money, and Umniah.

Bank transfers can be made via the Jordan Islamic Bank and Housing Bank, or through Al-Alawneh Exchange branches, direct donations at the association’s offices in Shmeisani, Amman Village in Tabarbour, Irbid Village, and Aqaba Village, or via WhatsApp at: 0799541600.
