2/ Light Northern Showers Expected, Sunny Conditions Return Tuesday
Amman, Nov. 30 (Petra) -- Temperatures are forecast to decline on Sunday, bringing slightly cool weather over the highlands and pleasant to mild conditions in the rest of the regions. Clouds will appear at varying altitudes, and light to moderate rain is expected in the northern part of the country, with occasional extension into limited areas of the central-western regions. Winds will be westerly and moderate, becoming active at times. According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, Monday will be partly cloudy and slightly cool over the highlands, while remaining pleasant to mild in other regions. Light morning showers are possible in the far north, and westerly winds will continue at moderate speeds, strengthening at intervals. Sunny and stable conditions are expected for Tuesday, with pleasant temperatures over the highlands and plains, and relatively warm weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be light and easterly. Similar conditions are expected on Wednesday, with pleasant temperatures in most regions, relatively warm weather in the lower areas, some high clouds, and moderate easterly winds. Sunday’s temperatures range between 18 C and 7 C in East Amman and 16 C and 5 C in West Amman. The northern highlands are forecast at 16 C–7 C, while the Sharah highlands are expected to record 17 C–5 C. Desert regions will see 22 C–8 C and the plains 19 C–8 C. In the Jordan Valley, temperatures will reach 25 C–17 C in the north and 27 C–17 C in the south, while the Dead Sea is expected at 26 C–18 C and Aqaba at 27 C–16 C. //Petra// RZ
