12/ Climate Justice Academy Launches to Empower Jordanian Youth

Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) – The youth-led foundation We Are for Climate, in partnership with the Institute of Politics and Society, has launched the "Climate Justice Academy," aimed at building young people’s capacities in climate justice, sustainable development, and climate action.

According to a statement issued by the Institute on Tuesday, the academy seeks to train youth on designing and implementing climate advocacy campaigns using systematic, evidence-based approaches. The initiative is supervised by the youth organization Darabzeen and supported by the international organization ActionAid.

The Institute of Politics and Society serves as the knowledge and development partner for the initiative, providing expertise in research, strategic thinking, and public communication to strengthen the ability of emerging local organizations to develop scientifically grounded and impactful climate messages and positions, it added.

The Institute emphasized that this partnership aligns with its broader programs supporting youth and community initiatives and promoting young people’s engagement in shaping environmental and climate policies. It also aims to enhance their analytical and strategic planning skills to influence public issues with long-term developmental impact.

It added that the "Climate Justice Academy" serves as a pioneering national platform for training new youth leaders in climate issues and integrating research with practical action, thereby fostering a culture of climate justice and sustainable development in Jordan and the wider region.
