30/ Agriculture ministry reopens sheep export facilities to Saudi market

Amman, Oct. 8 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture Dr. Saeb Khraisat announced facilities designated for sheep export to Saudi Arabia are now reopened.

The minister's announcement came after an agreement with the Saudi side on a special technical protocol to regulate the export process and open the facilities on the Saudi Inmaa platform to resume export operations in accordance with the agreed-upon rules.

In a statement Wednesday, the ministry called on facility owners to "fully" adhere to the protocol's provisions and the approved technical and health instructions, aimed to ensure continuity of the export process and enhance confidence in livestock products in foreign markets.

Expressing its appreciation for the cooperation with Saudi side, the ministry commended the joint efforts that reflect the "deep-rooted" relations and bilateral ongoing coordination in the agricultural and veterinary fields.
