The chamber noted that the sector meets about 98 percent of domestic demand the highest level among Jordanian industries reducing reliance on imports and strengthening the market’s ability to meet its needs locally. It added that the mining industries generate an annual added value of JD2.1 billion out of a total production volume of JD3 billion, reflecting their substantial contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). During the first seven months of this year, the sector’s exports grew by 8 percent to approximately JD640 million, reaching 61 countries including India, Indonesia, China, Egypt, and Brazil demonstrating the global competitiveness of Jordanian products despite economic challenges and raw material price fluctuations. Mining industries account for around 13 percent of Jordan’s total industrial exports and are among the top sectors in added value creation.
