8/ Jordan, Egypt discuss nursing cooperation
Amman, Oct. 16 (Petra) – Secretary-General of the Jordanian Nursing Council, Hani Nawafleh, and President of the Egyptian Nursing Syndicate, Kawthar Mahmoud, discussed prospects for professional and nursing cooperation between the two countries. The meeting, held at the Nursing Council on Wednesday, was part of an official visit aimed at strengthening professional relations and exchanging expertise in the field of nursing. The two sides reviewed possible areas of cooperation in training, continuing education, and the exchange of nursing expertise to enhance the profession’s leading role in both Jordan and Egypt and reflect the depth of ties. Nawafleh highlighted the main services and programs provided by the Jordanian Nursing Council, including the Clinical Simulation Center, Computer Center, examination mechanisms, electronic testing systems, and continuing professional development programs. He emphasized the Council’s commitment to strengthening regional partnerships to improve the quality of nursing education and practice in the Arab world. Mahmoud commended the Jordanian Nursing Council’s achievements in advancing the profession and raising the standards of nursing staff, describing it as a model to be followed in the region. She praised Jordan’s efforts to invest in nursing professionals and stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two syndicates and health institutions in both countries. //Petra// NQ
