Ajloun, April 6 (Petra) -- The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) announced on Monday that the Ajloun cable car will be closed to the public on Tuesday for scheduled periodic maintenance.

The group said in a statement that the closure is part of a standard safety protocol conducted on the first Tuesday of every month. The routine inspections are designed to ensure the continued safety of the system and to verify the operational readiness of all facilities at the popular tourist site.

Officials emphasized that these regular technical reviews are essential for maintaining international safety standards and providing a high-quality experience for visitors.

The cable car, which spans 2.5 kilometers and offers panoramic views of the Ajloun Forest Reserve and surrounding historical sites, is a central fixture of northern Jordan’s tourism infrastructure. Normal operations are expected to resume on Wednesday.
