14/ Dead Sea Panorama Race Draws 28 Drivers from Four Countries
Amman, April 12 (Petra) -- Jordan Motorsport on Sunday announced the roster of competitors for the Dead Sea Panorama Race, the opening round of the Jordan Hill Climb Championship, scheduled to get underway next Friday. A total of 28 drivers from Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia are set to compete across multiple vehicle classes, with a competitive field expected. The event is backed by key sponsors, including Zain Jordan, Central Toyota (Gazoo Racing), and Hala and Plus Radio. Official practice sessions are slated for Wednesday ahead of the timed runs. The course features a challenging elevation profile, with drivers launching from 272 meters below sea level and climbing to 135 meters above sea level over a distance exceeding 5 kilometers, testing both vehicle performance and driver skill. The competition format comprises two timed runs for all entrants, followed by a final shootout involving the top 15 drivers. Qualification for the final round will include the three fastest competitors in each of the four-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive categories, in addition to the next-best performers based on aggregate times from the opening runs. //Petra// AJ
