23/ Municipalities intensify efforts to fly 700,000 Jordanian flags on 'Flag Day'
Amman, April 14 (Petra) – Municipalities, joint services councils, and municipal affairs directorates across the Kingdom's governorates are continuing their "intensive" fieldwork in preparation to mark "Flag Day," which falls on Thursday. In a press statement on Tuesday, Ministry of Local Administration stated the field efforts of all municipalities, councils, and directorates aim to raise approximately 700,000 flags of various sizes and dimensions. The ministry said this effort aims to enhance the overall aesthetic appearance of main streets, public squares, and open areas, and highlight the "enduring" status and value of the Jordanian flag in the hearts of the nation's citizens. The work also aims to raise the flag on top of municipal buildings and public institutions to ensure display is made to reflect the most splendid manner to reflect this national occasion. The ministry, in cooperation with municipalities' social media pages and national institutions, launched the slogan: "Our Flag Flies High," expressing pride in the Jordanian flag and affirming the people's support for the wise Hashemite leadership. Meanwhile, municipalities and joint services councils launched community initiatives aimed to distribute flags to schools and vehicles, display hand-held flags, and decorate national institutions to reinforce national values ??and strengthen community ties on this cherished occasion. //Petra// AG
