Amman, April 16 (Petra) -- Hikma Pharmaceuticals donated an emergency shipment of medicines worth $1 million in support of the Lebanese people affected by the current crisis.

The shipment was transported on Thursday aboard a Royal Jordanian Air Force aid aircraft in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, and the Jordan Armed Forces.

According to a company statement issued Thursday, the shipment included a range of medicines, including anti-infectives, pain relievers, and treatments covering various therapeutic areas, including oral medications and hospital-use drugs, amid Lebanon’s acute shortage of medicines and medical supplies.

The company said the support reflects Hikma’s mission of providing better health, within reach, every day, and underscores its continued role in supporting affected communities across countries during times of crisis.
