Amman, April 21 (Petra) –Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) commended the Cabinet's decision to extend the penalty-free deadline for renewing business licenses within municipal areas until June 30.

This move aims to enable investors and business owners to complete the necessary licensing procedures.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the chamber said the decision is a "positive" step reflecting the government's commitment to support the Kingdom's business environment and ease financial and procedural burdens on the private sector, particularly given the current economic conditions.

The chamber noted the extension provides more time for business owners to rectify their situation and complete the e-licensing requirements, which contribute to enhanced compliance and improved service delivery within municipal areas.

Urging continued steps to streamline procedures and develop government services for business licensing, the JCC stated this process would enhance "competitiveness" of the national economy and support sustainability of commercial and service activities.
