13/ ATF urges pan-Arab, Islamic strategy to halt Israeli violations in Al Aqsa Mosque
Amman, April 21 (Petra) –Arab Thought Forum (ATF), in cooperation with the Islamic World Academy of Sciences and the Center for Middle East Studies, on Tuesday held a symposium, themed: "Al Aqsa Mosque and Holy Sites: Closure Policies and Their Repercussions." During the event, which was held over two sessions, political, religious, and academic figures discussed reality of Al Aqsa Mosque under Israel's closure policies and their repercussions on the Palestinian presence, as well as international legal dimensions and Arab and Islamic reactions. Participants called for developing a pan-Arab and Islamic strategy and activating international legal channels to stop these breaches, underlining the "historical" role of the Hashemite custodianship in protecting Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites. //Petra// AG
