20/ Remittances to Jordan Rise 12.7% in Early 2026, CBJ Data Shows
Amman, April 21 (Petra) -- Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) showed that total incoming workers’ remittances to the Kingdom rose by 12.7 percent in the first two months of 2026, reaching $740.1 million. Outgoing remittances also increased by 11.9 percent during the same period, totaling $307.5 million. The data indicated that the United Arab Emirates ranked first as a source of remittances to Jordan, accounting for 22.7 percent of total inflows, followed by Saudi Arabia at 19 percent, the United States at 18.3 percent, and Qatar at 9 percent. As for outgoing remittances, Egypt was the main destination, accounting for 39 percent of total outflows, followed by Bangladesh at 12.6 percent and the Philippines at 4.8 percent. //Petra// NQ
