Amman, April 21 (Petra) –Jordanian-Syrian Joint Water Technical Committee toured the Yarmouk Basin and the Dam (Wihdeh Dam) on the Jordanian side to assess the water situation and discuss solutions and mechanisms to address challenges.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ministry of Water and Irrigation said the visit took place on the sidelines of the committee's 3rd meeting in Amman this week.

The delegation was comprised the Secretary-General of Jordan Valley Authority, Hisham Hisa, Syrian Deputy Minister of Energy, Osama Abu Zeid, and several other officials from both sides.
