2/ Mild Weather Gives Way to Warmer Conditions Through Weekend

Amman, April 22 (Petra) -- A gradual warming trend is set to define weather conditions over the coming days, following mild temperatures prevailing on Wednesday across most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Conditions remain pleasant across much of the country, while warmer weather continues in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds are light southeasterly, shifting to northwesterly during the evening hours.

Temperatures are forecast to rise on Thursday, bringing relatively warm conditions across most regions, while low-lying areas remain warmer. Winds will shift from northeasterly to northwesterly at moderate speeds.

A further increase is expected on Friday, with warm conditions becoming more pronounced across most regions and relatively hot weather persisting in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some cloud cover is expected over eastern and southern areas, while winds remain moderate, shifting between northeasterly and northwesterly directions.

Warm conditions are expected to continue into Saturday, with relatively hot weather in low-lying areas and increasing cloud cover at medium and high altitudes. Winds will strengthen, shifting from southeasterly to southwesterly, and may become active, raising dust particularly in desert regions.

Temperature ranges on Wednesday reflect the prevailing pattern, with East Amman forecast between 22 C and 11 C, and West Amman between 20 C and 9 C. Northern highlands will record 18 C to 8 C, while the Sharah highlands range between 19 C and 7 C.

In the Badia, temperatures are expected between 26 C and 9 C, and in the plains between 23 C and 12 C. The northern Jordan Valley is forecast at 29 C to 16 C, rising to 32 C to 18 C in the southern valley. The Dead Sea will record 31 C to 17 C, while Aqaba reaches 32 C to 18 C.
