  12/ Maqasid Charity Hospital treats 3,714 patients in 2026

Amman, April 23 (Petra) – A medical team from Maqasid Charity Hospital, affiliated with the Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, treated 331 patients during a free medical day held in the Bsira district of Tafila governorate.

In a statement, the hospital's Director General, Dr. Bassam Shloul, stated a medical team, comprised of various specialties, took part in the medical day.

The event was held under the auspices of the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Khalaileh, represented by Director General of the Zakat Fund, Dr. Abdul Smirat.

As for activities, Shloul said the medical staff conducted clinical and laboratory tests for the patients and dispensed the necessary medications free of charge.

The teams, he noted, also used ultrasound to check pregnant women and provided the necessary treatments.

During this year, Shloul noted the number of beneficiaries of the free medical days, implemented by the hospital, has reached 3,714 patients over a total of 8 free medical days.

Since 2018, he noted the hospital has conducted approximately 128 free medical days in various governorates of the Kingdom and treated over 70,000 patients.
