Amman, April 23 (Petra) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi held a phone call on Thursday with Nepal’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, discussing ways to advance bilateral relations and developments in the region.

Safadi congratulated Khanal on his appointment and expressed his commitment to working jointly to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, as well as to support efforts aimed at promoting regional stability and peace.

The two ministers also reviewed recent regional developments and ongoing efforts to reduce escalation, including prospects for restoring calm following the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.
