17/ Health Minister: Plan to alleviate pressure on emergency department at Prince Faisal Hospital

Amman, Apr. 24 (Petra)-- Minister of Health, Ibrahim Al-Bdour, paid an unannounced night visit on Friday to Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein Governmental Hospital in Russeifa District, Zarqa Governorate, to inspect firsthand the level of healthcare services provided to citizens, particularly in the emergency department.

According to a ministry statement, the visit included a review of the readiness of medical and nursing staff during nighttime hours, ensuring the availability of medical supplies and equipment, and listening to feedback from patients and hospital employees.

Al-Bdour stressed the importance of improving the work environment and raising the quality of healthcare services.

He revealed that a new plan will be implemented in the coming days to reduce pressure on the hospital’s emergency department, which is expected to positively impact the speed and quality of medical care provided to patients.

The minister said the Ministry of Health will continue conducting field visits and closely monitoring the performance of public hospitals and health centers to enhance the quality of healthcare services and provide a comprehensive treatment environment.

He noted that this approach is being carried out by the government under the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan.

Al-Bdour added that efforts will also focus on strengthening the hospital by providing the medical, healthcare, and administrative staff it needs to ensure better services for patients and visitors.
