32/ Judicial Enforcement Department migrates inquiry services to unified hotline
Amman, April 26 (Petra) -- The Judicial Enforcement Department of the Public Security Directorate announced on Sunday the transition of its SMS inquiry service from the short-code 94444 to a new unified toll-free number, 117111. The move is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at consolidating service channels within an integrated electronic framework. The 117111 hotline offers an immediate automated response system for citizens and residents to inquire about judicial warrants or alerts related to individuals and vehicles. The department clarified that the replacement of the previous SMS service follows the availability of more modern, free-of-charge electronic alternatives. These updates are intended to provide faster and more efficient access to legal status information without relying on the legacy messaging system. Alternative inquiry channels now include the unified toll-free number (117111), the Judicial Enforcement Department's official website, and the "Sanad" government services mobile application, which hosts a comprehensive suite of judicial and administrative tools. Despite the transition, the department confirmed it will continue its proactive notification system, which sends periodic text messages every 72 hours to individuals with active judicial warrants to inform them of their legal standing. Officials emphasized their commitment to expanding digital channels to deliver security and judicial services that are both accessible and responsive to the needs of the public across the kingdom. //Petra// AF
