Amman, April 27 (Petra) -- Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed Monday's trading with a turnover of JD21.5 million, where 7.5 million shares changed hands in 4,781 transactions.

The general share price index closed at 3,861 points, 0.24 percent up.

The financial sector index was up 0.76 percent, services 0.53 percent down, and industrial sector firms declined by 0.24 percent.

Of 95 companies on the index, 36 posted gains, 24 incurred losses and the rest held steady, compared with previous closing prices.
