Refai highlighted the importance of implementing advanced capacity-building programs, including student and researcher exchanges, visiting scholar programs and specialized training in research methodologies and academic writing. He stressed the need to develop effective mechanisms for technology transfer and commercialization of research outputs through licensing agreements, business incubators and joint projects with the industrial sector, turning innovation into tangible economic value. For his part, Khan pointed to broad opportunities for cooperation through Pakistani institutions aligned with the council’s objectives, particularly in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and in strengthening linkages between academia, research centers and industry. He said Pakistan is keen to build practical partnerships based on activating joint research projects, exchanging researchers and expertise, and expanding cooperation in technology transfer and business incubators to accelerate the conversion of innovation into economic applications. //Petra// NQ
