Amman, April 27 (Petra) – Desert Highway Civil Defense teams and the police, backed by the Karak and Madaba Civil Defense Directorates and Support Groups in Southern Jordan, responded to a collision on Monday between three trucks and an oil tanker truck on the Desert Highway, the Public Security Directorate's Media Spokesman said.

The tanker and trucks caught fire, and one person sustained various injuries and bruises, he said.

Fire crews rushed to the scene in Swaqa and put out the fire, and paramedics administered first aid to the injured person and evacuated him to a nearby hospital, he said.

A traffic investigation was launched to determine the cause of the accident, said the spokesman.
