Amman, April 28 (Petra) – Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya on Tuesday approved the completion of release procedures for 418 administrative detainees by governors.

According to a ministry statement, this decision comes as part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to facilitate the reintegration of released detainees into society, enhance their chances of rehabilitation, and resume normal lives with their families.

The ministry said those cases were reviewed, and their periods of detention were deemed sufficient.

Additionally, this step reflects the ministry's "humanitarian" approach to administrative detention by adhering to the legal safeguards, while maintaining legal and security controls to curb the criminal activity of dangerous individuals.
