31/ ASE Urges Listed Firms to Submit First-Quarter Financials

Amman, April 28 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) has called on its listed companies to complete the submission of first-quarter financial statements, reviewed by their external auditors for the period ending March 31, 2026, via the electronic disclosure system (XBRL) before the end of April.

Chief Executive Officer Mazen Wathaifi said the exchange will suspend trading in the shares of non-compliant companies that fail to provide the reviewed first-quarter financial statements, starting from the first business day following the end of April, for a period of three business days.

He added that trading in the shares of these companies will resume on the same market in which they are listed, in line with restrictions issued by the board of directors, from the morning of the business day following the suspension period and until the companies submit the required data, in accordance with Article 15 of the 2018 Securities Listing Instructions.

Wathaifi said the measure aims to enhance the protection of market participants and investors by ensuring the timely availability of essential information to support investment decisions. He noted that, after the deadline for receiving quarterly data, the exchange will publish the names of non-compliant companies through various media channels.

The submission of first-quarter financial statements is required under the Securities Listing Instructions of the Amman Stock Exchange, which obliges all listed companies to prepare interim statements reviewed by external auditors to reinforce disclosure and transparency and to enable investors and shareholders to access essential information and company performance results on a continuous and timely basis.

The exchange publishes these disclosures on its website under circulars and disclosures (quarterly statements) to facilitate access for interested parties.
