43/ Russia’s Annual Inflation Eases to 5.7%, Central Bank Says

Moscow, April 29 (Petra) -- The Central Bank of Russia said annual inflation in the country has fallen to 5.7% since the start of the year, indicating easing price pressures and a relative improvement in market stability.

In a statement, the central bank said the decline was driven by slower growth in demand and stabilization in the prices of some goods, while noting that risks linked to external volatility are being closely monitored and necessary measures are being taken to maintain monetary balance.
