Amman, Aug. 17 (Petra) -- Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi on Monday urged expanding youth participation in political and parliamentary life at a meeting with the Karama and Al-Wafaa Youth Authority.

Qadi called for an expanded dialogue session bringing the group's youth together with heads of parliamentary blocs, giving them a platform to air their views and discuss legislative work.

Head of the Karama and Al-Wafaa Youth Authority, retired Maj. Gen. Wael Ajilat, spoke of the need to move young people from theoretical knowledge to practical experience to enhance their political and national awareness.

The youth authority's team also met with Lower House member Suleiman al-Zaben, who took the group to the chamber's gallery to observe part of a parliamentary session on the local administration bill.
