New York, Aug. 26 (Petra) -- The UN Security Council is scheduled to hold its monthly meeting on the Palestinian issue on Wednesday, followed by closed consultations.

UN Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Ramiz Alakbarov and High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov will brief the Security Council.
