25/ Ministry, UNFPA Hold Training on Youth, Peace, Security Data System

Amman, Aug. 27 (Petra) -- The Youth, Peace and Security Unit at the Ministry of Youth, in cooperation with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), held a training workshop Thursday on the data collection and management system for Jordan's National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security.

The workshop, themed: "From Data to Actionable Information for Monitoring and Decision-Making," is part of efforts to implement the national plan. 30 liaison officers from ministries and institutions involved in the plan's implementation took part.

The workshop covered the electronic system's mechanisms and data collection tools used to track and evaluate indicators, aimed to unify monitoring procedures, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and convert collected data into information that supports monitoring and decision-making.

During the session, participants received hands-on training on the electronic system and unified digital platform, including monthly data entry procedures, activities to document achievements, update indicators, and track progress to ensure consistent work procedures and data accuracy.

The workshop also covered the use of an indicator-tracking file, setting baselines and targets, monitoring actual progress, and visualizing and analyzing data.

It aimed to build liaison officers' capacity to use the data system, standardize indicator entry and documentation of achievements, and strengthen data-driven monitoring, gap identification and decision-making.
