26/ 20 Jordanian companies participate in Damascus Int'l Fair
Amman, Aug. 30 (Petra) – Export House (EH) organized the Jordanian pavilion at the 63rd Damascus International Fair, with the participation of 20 Jordanian companies from various industrial and service sectors. In a statement issued Sunday, the company said the Jordanian presence included companies operating in the food, chemical, cement, plastics, and packaging industries, as well as service sectors such as hospitals, information technology companies, transportation, and logistics. The company added that another pavilion was held for the Jordan Tourism Board and the Free Zones Investors Association, reflecting "diversity of Jordanian products and services and their competitiveness in regional and international markets." As for its goals, the statement said the step aims to strengthen presence of Jordanian companies in the Syrian market, promote quality of national products and services, and help participating companies explore trade and investment opportunities and build direct relations with importers, distributors, and potential partners. The statement noted that this participation is part of EH's efforts to support "readiness" of Jordanian companies to access foreign markets, enhance their competitiveness, and provide "effective" platforms for promoting national products and services, in line with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision and the National Export Strategy. The EH added: "The pavilion represents a platform for contact among Jordanian companies and their Syrian, regional, and international counterparts, exploring opportunities for cooperation and trade and investment partnerships, and exchanging expertise and knowledge, which contributes to expanding the network of trade relations and enhancing the flow of goods and services between markets." Scheduled to run through September 4th, expectations estimate the Jordanian participation in the fair would contribute to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Jordan and Syria, and open the door for national companies to explore new opportunities for growth and expansion in Syria and neighboring markets. //Petra// AG
