AMMAN, Aug. 31 (Petra) -- An official spokesperson for the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army announced that air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed eight missiles that violated the Kingdom's airspace early Monday morning.

The spokesperson confirmed that the armed forces handled the breach with precision, destroying the projectiles before they could pose any threat to citizens or property.

The operations were executed based on rigorous operational assessments, driven by the national responsibility to protect Jordan's airspace, safeguard public safety, and uphold established rules of engagement, according to the statement.
