34/ Jordan to host FinTech festival with international participation

Amman, August 31 (Petra) -- Jordan will host the second edition of the Jordan FinTech Festival 2026 on September 23-24 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre in the Dead Sea.

The Festival is bringing together leading financial institutions, regulatory bodies, fintech companies, investors and experts from Jordan, the region and around the world.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Governor Adel Sharakas said the Jordan FinTech Festival represents a strategic national platform reflecting the transformation taking place in the financial sector and the Kingdom's vision of building an integrated digital financial system that contributes to sustainable development and strengthens Jordan's regional and international competitiveness.

He added that the CBJ continues to develop regulatory policies that support innovation while ensuring consumer protection, helping create an enabling environment for the growth of fintech and the development of innovative digital financial solutions.

Sharakas added that the festival seeks to strengthen cooperation among financial institutions, startups and regulatory bodies and to link financial innovation to actual market needs, providing startups with greater opportunities to access investors, markets and potential partners.

Organised by the CBJ in partnership with the Association of Banks in Jordan and in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the festival is part of efforts to strengthen the Kingdom's fintech ecosystem, support digital transformation and financial inclusion and reinforce Jordan's position as a regional hub for fintech and innovation.

Over two days, the festival will bring together decision-makers, banking and financial-sector leaders, regulators, startups, investors and technology companies to exchange expertise, discuss rapid developments in financial services and explore opportunities for cooperation, investment and partnerships.

The festival programme will focus on key themes shaping the future of the financial sector, including digital payments and digital transformation in banking and financial services, open finance, digital assets and blockchain technologies, embedded finance, banking as a platform, entrepreneurship and investment and the development of the startup ecosystem.

It will address sustainable finance and environmental governance, improving user experience on fintech platforms and developments in virtual assets and asset tokenisation.

The programme will feature panel discussions and specialised workshops involving local and international experts, an exhibition showcasing the latest fintech solutions and products, startup pitch sessions and networking events connecting innovators with investors and industry leaders.

The festival will feature a FinTech Hackathon, providing innovators and young talent with a platform to develop digital solutions to challenges facing the financial sector and present their projects to experts, investors and financial institutions.

Jordan's hosting of the event reflects the Kingdom's commitment to building an integrated fintech ecosystem based on human capital, digital infrastructure and a sound regulatory framework, enabling companies to develop, test and scale their solutions in regional and international markets.

Interested participants, including experts, investors, representatives of financial institutions and startups, can register to attend the festival free of charge. The full programme and registration details are available through the festival's official website.
