15/ Social Development Ministry, Zaha Center Sign Services Agreement to Support Children
Amman, Feb. 1 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Social Development and the Zaha Cultural Center signed an agreement on Sunday to provide specialized training, psychological, and social services for children in the ministry's care and protection centers. The agreement, signed by Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and the center's Executive Director Rania Sbeih, aims to implement the ministry's strategy for enhancing social integration and building the life skills of vulnerable groups. Bani Mustafa noted that the agreement targets 62 male and female beneficiaries, aged 3 to 18. Each participant will enroll in three training courses tailored to their interests, selected from a pool of 14 educational, cultural, artistic, and sports programs. The initiative also includes psychological sessions to support mental health and behavioral balance. Under the protocol, the center’s Psychosocial Wellbeing Center will offer diagnostic-based services prepared by specialists. Participants will also have access to the center’s academies, covering music, sports, handicrafts, and creative thinking. The minister stated that the partnership aligns with the ministry's vision to invest in human capital and empower children developmentally and psychologically. She highlighted the ministry's commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive environment that extends beyond basic care to foster creativity and talent discovery. For her part, Sbeih emphasized that the agreement strengthens the partnership with the ministry to ensure integrated service delivery. She noted that these services are provided at a consistent standard across all 25 Zaha Cultural Center branches nationwide. Following the signing, Bani Mustafa toured the center to review its facilities and services provided to families and children, engaging with beneficiaries about the impact of the center's safe and educational environment. //Petra// NQ
