Amman, Feb 9 (Petra) - The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC), during a field inspection campaign in the Al Mushaqqar area, southwest Amman, and in cooperation with the South Amman Police Directorate, seized machinery and equipment used for loading and extraction from unlicensed sites.

The confiscated equipment included a loader and a hauling vehicle, as well as two jackhammers, which were impounded pending completion of the necessary legal procedures in accordance with current legislation.

EMRC Chief Commissioner Ziad Al-Saaida confirmed the continuation of intensified inspection campaigns to safeguard national resources and public funds in cooperation with partners in the Ministry of Interior and security agencies. He praised the ongoing collaboration with security partners and their vital role in strengthening the national oversight system for this strategic sector.

The campaign is part of a series of intensive inspections carried out by the EMRC across the kingdom to curb violations against natural resources, ensure that all entities operating in the mining sector obtain official licenses, comply with public safety standards and environmental requirements, and promote the optimal utilization of resources in a way that serves the national economy and public interest.
