45/ HTU Opens Early Registration for 2026/2027 Academic Year
Amman, Feb 10 (Petra) - The Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) has opened early registration for high school students for the 2026/2027 academic year, aiming to give students sufficient time to plan their academic paths and make informed decisions about their future. The university emphasized that choosing a university major is a pivotal step in every student’s life. Early registration provides students and their parents the opportunity to carefully consider available options before the end of the school year, easing the pressure often faced when selecting an academic track and allowing time to explore different disciplines, understand the requirements of each field, and ensure alignment with personal interests and career aspirations. The university noted that early registration allows students to benefit from academic counseling and career guidance, helping them make informed decisions that prepare them for a more stable and successful future. The university also announced on its website and social media platforms that Thursday, Feb. 12, will mark the first open day, during which students and parents can visit to inquire about programs and technical majors. The open day will include informational sessions on academic disciplines, vocational training, and employment opportunities, as well as the presence of academic and administrative staff to answer questions. The HTU, established in 2016 as part of the Crown Prince Foundation, aims to provide high-level technical education in engineering, technology, and applied sciences according to international standards. The university follows a unique educational model focused on applied learning and intensive practical training through engineering workshops and scientific laboratories, along with a one-year practical training opportunity integrated into its curricula. The university offers full employment opportunities for its graduates, with a reported employment rate of 100%, and provides three academic levels: bachelor’s degrees, Higher National Certificate (HNC), and Higher National Diploma (HND), allowing students flexibility in continuing their education according to their professional needs. The university is included under the Royal makruma for children of teachers and active or retired members of the Arab Army and security institutions. It is a key partner of Jordan’s industrial and technological sector and works to bridge the gap between education outcomes and labor market needs through advanced training programs and strategic partnerships with local and international institutions. Students wishing to apply or seek more information are invited to visit the university’s website at [www.htu.edu.jo]. //Petra// AF
