22/ Trade Chamber Reopens Jordan-Saudi Business Council Office
Amman, Feb. 11 (Petra) -- The Jordan Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday reopened the Jordanian-Saudi Business Council office in its premises to boost trade and investment ties between the private sectors in the two Kingdoms. It was inaugurated by the Council’s vice presidents Ahmad Shaghdaly and Musa Al-Anzi, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce Sen. Khalil ElHaj Tawfiq, and council members. Tawfiq said the office will serve as a permanent coordination hub to follow up on outcomes of bilateral economic meetings and accelerate joint cooperation. He said the council was reconstituted last year and formed 12 specialized joint committees at its meeting in Riyadh to advance cooperation across commercial, industrial, service and agricultural sectors. Tawfiq added that upcoming meetings in Amman will focus on translating coordination into real projects, including potential joint ventures in construction, infrastructure and information technology, as well as cooperation in Syrian reconstruction, in coordination with relevant authorities. Shaghdaly said the office will enhance direct communication between Saudi and Jordanian companies and support strategic partnerships, particularly in reconstruction and infrastructure projects.
