36/ Jordanian Field Hospital teams arrive in southern Gaza
Amman, February 11 (Petra) – Jordanian Field Hospital teams arrived in southern Gaza on Tuesday to carry out their humanitarian mission of providing medical care and relief services to help alleviate suffering in Gaza. The deployment comes as part of an ongoing humanitarian and medical efforts undertaken by Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdulla II in support of the resilience of the people of Gaza. Upon arrival, the medical and administrative teams began implementing the necessary preparations, equipping clinics and medical facilities and activating operational plans to receive patients in the coming days. The measures aim to ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality healthcare services in line with the highest humanitarian standards. The hospital's staff comprises a wide range of medical, nursing and technical specialists, covering general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, general practice, anesthesiology and intensive care, dermatology, vascular surgery, pediatric and neonatal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, maxillofacial surgery and neurosurgery. The hospital operates a mobile prosthetics support unit, enhancing its ability to address complex and emergency medical cases. During its mission, the Jordanian Field Hospital in South Gaza/8 treated 58,554 patients, performed 650 major and minor surgeries, and fitted 168 upper and lower limb prostheses. This brings the total number of prostheses provided under the "Restoring Hope" initiative to 805. The South Gaza/8 team returned to the Kingdom today after completing its medical and humanitarian mission. //Petra// AK
