  28/ Army Chief receives Senior Canadian Defense Official to Discuss Military Cooperation

Amman, Feb, 12 (Petra)-- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti, received, on Thursday, at the General Command headquarters, Assistant Vice Chief of the Defense Staff of Canada, Major General Christopher Robinson, and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for military cooperation between the armed forces of the two friendly countries, particularly in the areas of training and exchange of expertise. They also addressed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Al-Hunaiti, in the presence of several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Attaché in Amman, affirmed the depth of the military relations between the two countries. He praised the existing level of cooperation and its role in enhancing the exchange of expertise and raising readiness to confront shared challenges.

For his part, Major General Robinson commended the efforts of the Jordan Armed Forces in maintaining regional security and stability, underscoring the importance of further strengthening bilateral military cooperation across various fields.
