Amman, Feb. 15 (Petra) -- Jordan highlighted its efforts to advance specialized nursing practice and strengthen international academic partnerships during its participation in two international healthcare conferences hosted by Assiut University.

The Jordan Nursing Council joined the 8th International Conference of the Faculty of Nursing, held on Feb. 8–9 in cooperation with Sphinx University, which brought together academic leaders and nursing experts from across the Arab region to discuss innovation in nursing education and research.

Secretary-General Hani Al-Nawafleh presented a paper on international cooperation in advancing advanced nursing practice, highlighting the role of regional and global partnerships in harmonizing professional standards, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and expanding specialized training and research.

He said developing advanced nursing practice is central to improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes, stressing the need for closer integration between education providers, regulatory institutions, and the healthcare sector to prepare nursing professionals for evolving global health challenges.

The conference examined digital innovation in nursing education, emerging trends in nursing research, the use of technology in healthcare studies, and nursing care pathways and their impact on patient outcomes.

The council also took part in the 17th International Conference of the Clinical Oncology Department at Assiut University on Feb. 13, contributing to sessions on pediatric oncology nursing, geriatric cancer care, nursing education development, and change management in oncology nursing practice.
