9/ Madaba Industrial City Expands to 40 Projects, Including Seven Arab Investments

Madaba, Feb. 16 (Petra) -- Madaba Industrial City is attracting a growing pipeline of manufacturing investment, with 40 projects now operating or preparing to begin production, including seven Arab investments, according to the Jordan Industrial Estates Company.

Director General Odey Obeidat said 16 industrial companies are currently in operation in the city, with total investments of JD 32 million and 732 jobs created.

An additional 24 companies are preparing to launch production in the coming period, with investments estimated at JD 19 million and expected to generate around 653 jobs. Investment ownership includes seven Arab projects, 32 Jordanian investments, and one joint venture.

Obeidat said the company is tracking further expressions of interest as the city continues to position itself as an emerging industrial hub in Madaba, supported by job creation and contributions to the national economy alongside industrial cities across the Kingdom.

He noted that promotional campaigns are underway to attract additional investors and leverage incentives offered to local, Arab, and foreign industrial projects. Plans are also in place to strengthen the city’s green economy framework through expanded green spaces, water-harvesting initiatives, and groundwater desalination projects implemented in cooperation with several partners.

Madaba Industrial City provides ready-to-invest industrial land and fully serviced industrial buildings of up to 27,000 square meters, supported by comprehensive infrastructure.

The city is among Jordan’s newest industrial zones and forms part of broader efforts aligned with the Economic Modernization Vision to expand industrial output, boost exports, and create employment opportunities across the Kingdom.
