22/ National Aid Fund runs training programs for beneficiary families
Amman, Feb 18 (Petra) – Specialized training programs in pattern making and sewing and machine embroidery, held through a strategic partnership between the National Aid Fund (NAF) and the Garment Design and Training Services Center, concluded on Wednesday. The initiative reflects a common commitment to strengthening economic empowerment in local communities, according to a statement issued by the Fund. The pattern making and sewing course was held in the Al-Jafr and Ayl areas of Ma'an Governorate, with the participation of about 40 trainees. The machine embroidery course took place in Shobak Governorate with about 20 female trainees from among the Fund's beneficiaries taking part, it said. Such programs are the fruit of an effective partnership with the Garment Design Center, said NAF Director Khitam Shneikat, noting the center's training standards and the positive impact on beneficiaries. Hassan Nsour, Executive Director of the Apparel Design and Training Services Center, said these initiatives are part of joint efforts to support economic empowerment programs and enhance self-employment opportunities. He said the center, in coordination with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, will try to connect trainees with factories and production branches in their respective areas, thus helping to bridge the labor gap and opening new employment prospects to improve their income and achieve economic sustainability. //Petra//SS
