43/ Mafraq Adorns Streets and Homes with Ramadan Crescent Decorations
Mafraq, Feb 18 (Petra) - Streets, squares, and homes across the city of Mafraq have been decorated with crescent-shaped Ramadan ornaments, reflecting the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month. Shops selling festive decorations in Mafraq and across the governorate have witnessed brisk sales, as residents purchased various types of ornaments to install inside and outside their homes, expressing their joy at the arrival of Ramadan and its distinctive religious traditions. Chairman of the Greater Mafraq Municipality Committee Mohammad Khalaf Al-Fayez said municipal teams installed crescent-shaped decorations along main streets, entrances, neighborhoods, and public areas to spread an atmosphere of celebration throughout the city. Director of Lighting at the municipality Youssef Eleimat noted that staff were keen to highlight festive scenes in preparation for Ramadan, stressing that these efforts are part of the municipality’s ongoing commitment to serving citizens around the clock. Residents also expressed their enthusiasm. Madian Al-Rifai said Ramadan decorations have become an essential part of every household in the governorate, adding that they create a spiritual ambiance and symbolize joy at the arrival of the fasting month.
