46/ Hareer Launches Ramadan Iftar Campaign for Gaza Children Under Royal Patronage

Amman, Feb 22 (Petra) - The Hareer for Community Development on Sunday launched the first of its Ramadan iftar events under its humanitarian campaign Sulwan Al-Amal" (Solace of Hope), under the patronage of Princess Karma bint Mohammed Abbas bin Ali, marking the start of a series of developmental and humanitarian initiatives implemented by the organization during the holy month of Ramadan, affirming its mission of spreading hope and strengthening values of solidarity and active community partnership.

The iftar targeted more than 50 children from the Gaza Strip who came to the Kingdom to receive treatment following the recent war, in an initiative reflecting the depth of Jordanian solidarity and its historical extension toward the Palestinian brothers, in line with the highest royal directives and the continuous attention of His Majesty King Abdullah II to caring for the brothers from Gaza and standing by them under various circumstances.

The event represented the first activity of the "Sulwan Al-Amal" campaign, which will not be limited to Amman but will continue through a series of iftar gatherings and humanitarian activities in several governorates, ensuring wider impact and access to support across local communities, strengthening equitable access, and consolidating the role of Hareer as an active development partner at the national level.

The organization ensured the provision of warm Ramadan atmospheres, featuring entertainment segments and purposeful social activities that helped bring joy and reassurance to the children, giving them a safe space of care and hope, in a message confirming that humanitarian support is not limited to the material aspect but extends to psychological recovery and strengthening feelings of dignity and belonging.

Princess Karma expressed her happiness at participating in the event, saying, "I am very happy to be with you at this blessed iftar. May God protect you and fill your hearts with happiness. Thank you to everyone who contributed to putting a smile on the children’s faces. Happy new year to you all."

For his part, the organization's Director General Nihad Dabbas affirmed that the Ramadan iftar events organized by Hareer are not a seasonal activity but an integral part of the foundation’s vision to build a cohesive and solidarity-based society, noting that these initiatives strengthen partnerships with national institutions, engage youth capacities, and stimulate volunteer work, producing positive economic and social impacts across various governorates.

He added that Hareer’s projects are based on the philosophy of sustainability and empowerment, seeking to create an impact that goes beyond the Ramadan moment to remain extended in the lives of individuals and society, noting that the iftar was held in cooperation with Abdali Boulevard Hotel.

Hareer indicated that organizing these iftars is carried out in partnership with national institutions and supporting sectors, enhancing the role of corporate social responsibility and contributing to activating local sectors operating in hospitality, services and event organization in a model reflecting the integration between humanitarian work and sustainable local development.

Hareer organization expressed its appreciation to Princess Karma for her generous patronage, as a major moral support for the organization's mission. It also praised the cooperation of the management of Abdali Boulevard Hotel and the efforts of partners and supporters for their direct role in the success of the initiative.

The organization also commended the role of the "Hareer Al-Amal" volunteers and the volunteers of the "Nahnu" platform affiliated with the Crown Prince Foundation, who embodied, through their national spirit, the meaning of giving and collective work and contributed to organizing the iftar in a manner reflecting the values of responsibility, solidarity and belonging.
