25/ Higher Education Council Approves Direct Admission for 2026 complementary Graduates
Amman, Feb 23 (Petra) - The Higher Education Council announced its approval to allow several public universities and colleges to begin direct admission of Jordanian students graduating from the 2026 complementary session. The decision aims to enable students to enroll in the regular program for the bachelor’s and intermediate diploma degrees during the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, provided that the minimum competitive admission averages are met and approved vacancies are available. The list of universities available for direct admission includes Mutah University, Al al-Bayt University, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, and Tafila Technical University, for both bachelor’s and intermediate diploma degrees. The decision also covers the colleges of Al-Balqa Applied University in Ajloun, Princess Rahma, Shobak, Ma’an, Aqaba, and Karak, as well as the Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection, in addition to the Aqaba branch of the University of Jordan and the Royal Jordanian Geographic Center. The council called on students wishing to benefit from this decision to approach the concerned universities and colleges directly to review registration mechanisms and complete the required procedures. //Petra// AF
