42/ Al-Farouq Society Concludes Canadian-Funded Orphan Support Project in Irbid
Irbid, Feb 23 (Petra) – The Al-Farouq Society for Orphans Care in Irbid governorate concluded the "Empowering Orphans and Local Community" project, implemented under the Middle East Field Support Services project, supervised by Cowater International, and funded by the Embassy of Canada in Jordan. Jean-Luc, a development officer at the Canadian Embassy, stated that this support is intended to strengthen education as a crucial element in individual development, empowering people to learn and shape their futures. He commended the Al-Farouq Society for its extensive experience in caring for and empowering orphans, as well as the role of Cowater International in overseeing project implementation. Hussein Al-Hawari, the head of the society, outlined the organization’s key activities and its commitment to caring for orphans and providing community support. He emphasized that the association offers educational, training, and development programs designed to empower orphans and local community members, helping to expand their educational and professional opportunities. Project manager Mahmoud Abu Dabbous highlighted the role of the Canadian Embassy in implementing four training courses that benefited 224 individuals. Most of these participants came from orphan families and the surrounding community. This initiative aimed to develop their skills and enhance their self-reliance.
