8/ Ayla to Host MENA Golf Tour in Aqaba March 8-15
Aqaba, Feb. 24 (Petra) -- The Ayla Oasis Development Company announced on Tuesday it will host the MENA Golf Tour at Ayla Golf Club in Aqaba from March 8 to 15, 2026, in cooperation with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. The repeated hosting underscores Aqaba’s position as a leading destination for golf and international sporting events and reflects organizers’ confidence in Jordan’s advanced sports and tourism infrastructure, said a statement. The tournament will feature 120 players from around the world, positioning it as a high-caliber professional competition and giving players the opportunity to compete on one of the Kingdom’s premier courses, known for its international specifications and environmentally sustainable design. The MENA Golf Tour is among the region’s most prominent professional circuits, providing a platform to develop the skills of professionals and emerging players, earn world ranking points, and build professional careers. The Tour also attracts elite international players, reinforcing its role in advancing golf across the region. Ayla Public Relations Director Mansour Kabariti said hosting the MENA Golf Tour is a strategic milestone for both Ayla and Aqaba, noting that such events strengthen Aqaba’s profile on the global sports map, support sports tourism and the local economy, and further position Ayla as a regional hub for golf.
