15/ 1st phase of JD2.5m public university scholarship, loan payments begins March 5
Amman, Feb. 26 (Petra) – Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Thursday announced commencement of the disbursement of the first phase of scholarship and loan payments for the 2025/2026 academic year, at a total cost of JD2.5 million. In a statement, the ministry added that this phase features disbursement of first-semester payments for continuing students nominated for scholarships dedicated to Jordan's northern and central regions. Paid by the Student Support Fund, the payments are disbursed for students enrolled at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Tafila Technical University, and the University of Jordan – Aqaba Branch, as well as Shobak and Aqaba Colleges affiliated with Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU). The ministry indicated that eligible students can receive their payments through Cairo Amman Bank branches, using their university ID or national ID card, starting next Thursday, March 5, 2026. The ministry affirmed that it will announce the disbursement of the remaining student payments successively, as soon as all related auditing and financial procedures are completed. //Petra// AG
