29/ Investment minister, Japanese envoy talk economic cooperation
Amman, January 6 (Petra) – Minister of Investment Tariq Abu Ghazaleh met on Tuesday with the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom, Asari Hideki, to discuss economic and investment cooperation between. According to a ministry statement, Abu Ghazaleh urged building on the strategic relations between the two countries and following up on the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah II's visit to Japan, as part of his recent Asian tour. He called for strengthening cooperation in several key sectors, including technological transformation, services, specialised industries, mining and energy, according to the statement. Abu Ghazaleh discussed Jordan's keenness to expand economic partnerships with Japan, noting the promising investment opportunities available in the Kingdom. He said this aligns with the government's efforts to modernise the economy and attract quality investments through a comprehensive framework of legislation, incentives and investment facilities. Hideki, in turn, praised Jordan's stable investment environment and the measures taken to improve the business climate and enhance the investor experience.
